Macro-level statistics and a wave of anecdotal evidence shows the recruitment market is moving into…
Why it’s time to take a look under the hood of your recruitment
If you follow me on LinkedIn, you’ve probably seen me posting about my new Recruitment MOT audit. It’s my way of turning all the years of working in recruitment, all the tech/systems nous and all the problem-solving skills I’ve built up into a valuable service for employers large and not so large.
Maybe your recruitment operations are purring like a jag. If so, good luck to you. I’m here for everyone else – for the HR teams looking for expert help on identifying, understanding and solving their recruitment issues.
So far, the companies I’ve helped have fallen into one of three camps. See if this sounds familiar:
You’re struggling to recruit. And you don’t know why.
All the numbers are heading the wrong way – applications, time to hire, cost per hire, you name it. You’ve tried a few things, but nothing seems to make much of a difference.
I come along, take a careful, methodical look at every nook and cranny of your candidate attraction, employer brand, resourcing tech, applicant tracking and all the rest. Then I lay it all out for you: outlining where your issues are and giving you a benchmark score that quantifies where you’re at.
You know you have problems. But you don’t know how to solve them.
It’s the market. Or legacy tech. Or a shorthanded team. Or whatever. You don’t need 30 years’ experience to see where the issues are. What you *do* need 30 years’ experience for is to figure out the solutions.
My audit will help you interrogate those issues, but the results also offer a roadmap of sorts – with clear recommendations, from picking low-hanging fruit and winning quick wins, to unravelling the knottier issues and tackling the bigger stuff.
Your team is doing their best. Your management thinks otherwise.
It’s a tough time to be a recruiter. I know what you’re up against. But, if hiring costs, staff turnover or unfilled vacancies are on the up, the pressure falls on you.
My audits aren’t about finding fault – it’s about measuring performance, processes and people. Yes, I work to identify where you could be doing better. But I also put it all in context – your market, your competition, your circumstances. It’s an honest third party’s view of how you’re doing, which can be just what’s needed to show that you’re doing great.
So far, whichever category they’ve fit, my Recruitment MOT clients have come away better informed about how their doing, with actionable recommendations and clear advice about the next steps to better recruitment. And all for less cost than a standard agency hire.
Whatever you need from a Recruitment MOT, there’s no better time to get started.
